What does it feel like to suddenly lose all your property, documents and things that matter to your heart? Irina is now experiencing this tragedy with her husband and six children. There was a fire in their apartment recently, and the house burned to the ground.
Our clients live in the village of Ruzhena in Latvia. The head of the family is the main earner and breadwinner; he works as a tractor driver in winter and summer. Irina worked as a pastry chef in a store and now cares for her family and children. The couple is raising three children—Eric, Arina and Dinar—and three adopted children—Alexey, Daniela and Daniel. The children are 23 to 3 years old and need parental support.
Even before the fire, the large family was experiencing financial difficulties. Ten years ago, Irina overcame stage 4 cancer. Now, the woman must monitor her health and undergo regular examinations closely. Little Daniel has had cerebral palsy since birth. The boy cannot move independently and needs constant care.
A small salary for a tractor driver, a disability pension and social benefits for children - that’s the entire family’s income. Irina’s relatives are trying to help as best they can, but there is a severe lack of funds, even with their support.
The fire victims live in an apartment with their friends. Enjoying hospitality for a long time is inconvenient, but they also have nowhere to go. Irina and her husband are planning to buy a home on credit and this is a very big financial burden for them.
We want to help this courageous family - buy a kitchen hood, a stove, a microwave, as well as a TV, two laptops and two phones so that the older children can study and communicate with their parents, and the younger ones can watch their favorite TV shows.
And, of course, it would be nice to support our clients with food packages. Then, Irina and her husband will be able to save money on food and spend money on other important things.
If you are ready to support this brave family, please send a donation. Let's help a large family survive a crisis situation.
Together, we can do more!
